Text msg vs Incubus circulates ahead of Manila concert

MANILA, Philippines – A text message targeting popular American rock band Incubus has been circulating ahead of its July 28 concert at the Araneta Coliseum.
The text message reads: “PRAYER ALERT !! A rock band called INCUBUS s comin 2perform at d Araneta Coliseum on July 28. We mUST pRAY this group dUZnt even step on2 Philippine soil so that they dONT impart their spirits in2 our youth!!”
It went on to define the word “incubus.” It said incubus is: "1. a male demon believed 2lie on sleepin persons 2hav sexual intercourse w/them; 2. a situation resembling a terrifying dream; 3. some1 who depresses or worries others."
The text message also said that the word is synonymous to “nightmare.”
“Pls pass . . & PRAY!! May GOD protect us all,” the text message said.
The multi-platinum rock band became a household name after the release of its "Make Yourself" album in 1999. Its members are Brandon Boyd, Mike Einziger, Chris Kilmore, Ben Kenney and Jose Pasillas.
In a past interview, two of its members said they came up with the name when they were only 15 years old and thought it was “pretty harmless.”

No, really? Are you guys serious about this stuff? I mean, this band has been here for years now and they always have had this problem, but really? Here in our country? Guys, FYI, this would be the second time they'll be performing in our country and this issue never came out during their first concert. angjejemonpleasegrowup
