Maliwanag ang Pasko begun in 2006 as one of Meralco's channels for supporting various charities, and encouraging customers to participate by lighting up homes every Christmas Season.
"In line with this year's theme of love and light, Meralco, through One Meralco Foundation will be able to support at least 1,000 children to go to school in the coming year. The public, in turn, can express their support with Meralco in its desire to light up the season, but to also help these children attain a better future" said Jeffrey Tarayo, Meralco Chief Corporate Social Responsibility Officer and President of One Meralco Foundation.

"Through Maliwanag ang Pasko program, it is our desire to take an active role in sharing warmth and hope to every Filipino family and engage them to contribute to a better future for underprivileged children. By lighting up our homes together, we carry the light of Jesus, whom we are celebrating this season, to many Filipino children in need" Tarayo added.
